Big Catch for October
The big crappie bite was on in October! Our big catch of the month was a crappie a little over 2lbs.

At Get Hooked Guide Service we had the best the luck with minnows but were able to catch a few with jigs. The jig that worked best was a 4B Baits pink head with any combo of blue, chartrues or white body.
The fish have been on the move with cooler water. We found the big slabs on brush piles and standing timber in 20 foot of water but did catch some a little shallower at 10 foot of water and also a little deeper at 30 foot of water.
On my off days I spent a bunch of time continuoulsy looking for brush piles and was able to mark some great quality crappie fishing spots.
Catfish on Lewisville Lake in October
We caught some nice catfish this month by drift fishing. I one of my scouting trips I was able to pull up a 16lb flat head catfish. We’ll be going into trophy catfishing starting in November.
